Pure Technology PT17 IT Conference Magic
Wow! What an honour to be hired again for the 2nd, annual Pure Technology Group IT conference…
I was rebooked as their corporate magician to do exactly the same as last year – blow everyone’s minds in the breaks through the conference day to keep things different and exciting and then to add a bit more magic to the evening party!
#PT17 Movie in a Day
Magical Video Production
You might be able to spot my dreadlocked self in the highlights video above, but what amazes me more is how SE7EN Video Productions managed to film and edit the entire video by the end of the day time conference to play back to everybody on the stage before the business conference concluded and then play again at the start of the evening party for the extra guests who missed out on the day!
Great video production team of hard working, friendly guys – highly recommended if you want a professional and lightning fast turn around! :O
Magic for the delegates and conference suppliers
I managed to find out a bit more about the new Dell laptop I’d treated myself to a few weeks ago from one of their representatives, I astounded the Tesla Motors sales reps whilst everyone else was busy with presentations and hoped my misdirection could make one of their Model S cars disappear (sadly, no joy) chatted about my DJI Spark drone, met the developer for the most amazing HoloLens Black Marble by Microsoft – a mixed reality headset that scans the environment and projects visualisations onto what you can see (almost like magic!) and of course I had an awesome time baffling everybody with more magic plus a few new tricks for of the staff and delegates I’d met the year before!
Full day conference magician in Wakefield
Most event’s I’m hired for are a maximum of around 3 hours so I’d forgotten just how long the day was last year!
I was onsite at their office in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, for 8:30am! :O Ready to start with some mix and mingle magic before 9am for the first hour or so of arrivals and networking.
Then at regular intervals throughout the day, making signed playing cards disappear and appear inside my zipped wallet, visually changing people’s borrowed £10 notes into £50, getting their signed coins to melt and bend inside their own hands… and more interactive magic until people were leaving at approx. 5pm. I then had a bit of time to kill in the main building whilst everybody else disappeared to freshen up for the evening so tried to do a firmware update on my own DJI Spark drone.
By 6:30pm we were off again with the conference party entertainment! The fantastic juggler did a show on the stage and had some of the staff members children involved. In between this and the live music, I was mingling and making more magic happen until about 9:30pm
Longest day of work I’ve ever done in my life! Haha! 😉
The reactions to my magic were incredible and it looks like we’re in for the same again next year, but even bigger and better (if that’s possible!) so it was definitely totally worth it!
